Job Ad Batch Repost

jobsDB Employer

MARCH - MAY 2016

PROBLEMS

Last year, a project was launched to stop allowing employers include email addresses in their job descriptions. However, a loop hole exists where the email blocking system does not affect job ads reposted from an original ad created prior to the project.

GOALS

1. To close the loop hole of reposting job ads with email and excessive job functions

2. To make user experience easier when dealing with the repost errors caused by #1

INITIAL DESIGN

Flow

1. Employer selects job ads they wish to repost.

2. Employer selects a credit package they want to use for the action.

3. We will identify ads that are eligible and ads that have an error.

4. Employer can decide to Fix job ads with error.

4. It will open a pop-up which shows the part of the ads that contain an error - employer can fix the error right away and Save it.

5. The page now shows mark the fixed job ad as eligible.

Issues

Editable and saveable pop-up is out of development budget.

FINAL DESIGN

Flow

1. Employer selects job ads they wish to repost.

2. Employer selects a credit package they want to use for the action.

3. We will check the job ads in the background and put them in two categories.

Category 1: ELIGIBLE ADS

Ads in this category can be reposted immediately - employers will not be slowed down by ads with errors.

Category 2: ADS WITH ERRORS

It contains ads with package errors and format errors.
We state each reason clearly to make it easier for the user to amend.

4. After the repost of eligible ads, employer can still amend and repost ads with error individually.
The top part of the page will change into a success message while the bottom part with errors is kept.
